With this win, UAA improves to 7-1 on the season after a recent third-place finish at the Great Alaska Shootout. They also outrebounded South Dakota Mines 43-36. Despite UAA’s strong offensive performance, South Dakota Mines struggled to score throughout the game, only managing to put up 41 points. UAA has had a strong start to the season, while South Dakota Mines remains winless in nonconference play. The two teams will face off again in their next game, with UAA looking to continue their winning streak. UAA’s defense and ability to dominate early in games have been key to their success, and they will need to maintain this focus as they aim to build momentum for the rest of the season.
