Guard Madelyn Bischoff made a strong comeback, earning honors as the Mid-American Conference Co-Player of the Week. Ally Becki has also been performing well, recording a triple-double against Memphis.
Ball State received votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll, highlighting their strong start to the season with a 5-2 record. The team has excelled at home, boasting a record of 191-86 at Worthen Arena. They have also been forcing turnovers and capitalizing on them, turning them into points.
South Dakota State is coming off a win against No. 21 Oregon and has a 4-2 record. Head coach Aaron Johnston has led the Jackrabbits to success over the years, making numerous postseason appearances and NCAA Tournament berths since 2004.
This matchup will mark the first-ever meeting between Ball State and South Dakota State. Becki ranks among the top players in the country in assists and triple-doubles.
