Notable automatic qualifiers include Abilene Christian, Montana State, Southeast Missouri State, and UIW. At-large selections feature teams like Eastern Kentucky, Illinois State, and Villanova. Montana holds the most tournament appearances with 28, followed by Eastern Kentucky with 23.
The tournament begins on November 30 with first-round games airing on ESPN’s family of networks. The championship game will take place at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, on January 6, 2024.
