Brookings, S.D. – The South Dakota State Jackrabbit wrestling program is gearing up to face off against the No. 9 ranked Minnesota Gophers in a highly anticipated dual match at First Bank & Trust Arena on Sunday. Head coach Damion Hahn, a two-time NCAA Champion from Minnesota, will lead the No. 14 ranked Jackrabbits in this exciting showdown.
The projected lineup for the dual includes key matchups between highly ranked wrestlers from both teams, with standout performers such as Tanner Jordan, Derrick Cardinal, and Bennett Berge set to take the mat for SDSU. The Jackrabbits are coming off a close loss in a dual against UNI Panthers, where they split the matches evenly before falling on criteria.

They finished third in the Big 12 Championships and 13th at the NCAA Championships in the previous season, and are looking to build on that success with a talented roster of experienced athletes and promising newcomers.
Led by head coach Damion Hahn, the Jackrabbits are focused on maintaining their high standards both on and off the mat. With a successful track record and a commitment to excellence in academics and athletics, the team is poised for another successful season ahead.
Next up, the Jackrabbits will hit the road to compete in the Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas, where they will face tough competition from top-ranked teams from across the country. Stay tuned for more exciting updates from the SDSU wrestling program as they continue their journey towards success.
