A 29-year-old woman from Marty tragically lost her life in a crash near Wagner on Thanksgiving morning. The crash occurred at around 5:56 a.m. on November 28, six miles south of Wagner. The driver of a 2012 Dodge Charger veered into the west ditch near 395th Avenue and 305th Street, vaulted over a culvert, and rolled over. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. It was revealed that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The identity of the victim has not been released as authorities are in the process of notifying family members. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
