Shaun Fitzpatrick – Mayor of Mitchell Republic

Mitchell, SD – The community of Mitchell is mourning the loss of Shaun A. Fitzpatrick, who passed away at the age of 67 in his home under hospice care. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on December 3, with burial at Casselton Cemetery in Casselton, ND. Fitzpatrick, born in 1957, served in the United States Army before pursuing a career in healthcare. He worked in neurosurgery and orthopedics, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, camping, traveling, and cheering on Notre Dame Football. He leaves behind his fiancé, sons, grandchildren, and siblings. Fitzpatrick’s dedication to his loved ones and his community will be dearly missed.
