Aspen High School senior Lenna Persson has made an impressive commitment by signing her letter of intent to play women’s golf for South Dakota State University. Persson, a standout golfer at AHS, chose SDSU for its competitive golf program and academic opportunities. Despite facing challenges in getting noticed by college coaches, she persevered and ultimately received offers from multiple schools before choosing SDSU over Wagner College.
Although she excels in skiing as well, Persson made the tough decision to prioritize golf in college, where she hopes to pursue a degree in psychology and eventually work in sports psychology. With one more season of competitive skiing ahead of her, Persson is determined to make the most of her final year at AHS before embarking on her college journey at SDSU.
Throughout her high school career, Persson has shown dedication and talent in both golf and skiing, and she is poised to achieve great success at the collegiate level. Her story of hard work and determination serves as an inspiration to aspiring student-athletes who may face challenges on their path to achieving their goals. For Persson, the future holds exciting opportunities in both academics and athletics as she looks forward to joining the competitive golf program at SDSU.
