The annual Festival of Lights parade in downtown Rapid City is set to take place at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Parade Chair Connie Olson is expecting a successful event this year, with approximately 80 floats participating from various groups and organizations. Highlights include Santa’s sleigh and Ellsworth Air Force Base’s B-1 Bomber-inspired float. Drivers in Downtown Rapid City on Saturday evening may need to adjust their routes as the parade will head west along Main Street, turn left on 7th Street, and left again on St. Joseph Street before returning to East Boulevard. Parking will not be allowed on the parade route between 5th and 7th until the parade concludes. The event promises to be a fun and festive evening for the whole family to enjoy.
