The helicopter, identified as a Robinson R44, had four occupants, including a child. The crash occurred in the city’s Second Ward neighborhood, with the fire spreading up to three blocks before being contained. Fortunately, no one on the ground was injured. The identities of the deceased have not been disclosed. Officials from the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the cause of the crash. Businesses in the area were closed at the time of the incident. The Houston Police Chief confirmed the tragic event at a news conference, expressing sorrow over the loss of life.
