An artist pays tribute to individuals killed for reasons of hate by creating a monument that will slowly fade over time. The project will be displayed in London’s Trafalgar Square, known for its historical significance and statues of military leaders. The fourth plinth in the square has hosted various artworks since 1999, including a giant bronze thumb, a sculpture of whipped cream, and 2,400 members of the public standing on it for an hour each over 100 days. The artist hopes that the monument will serve as a reminder to future generations to defend the right to live with dignity.
