Local nonprofit organization, Yankton Concerned Citizens (YCC), is hosting a fundraiser to support its mission of providing financial assistance to families in need. The fundraiser, a mead tasting event, will feature a variety of flavors from local meaderies and will take place on Saturday, May 15th from 6-9pm at the Yankton Community Center.
YCC has been serving the Yankton community for over 10 years and has helped numerous families facing financial hardships. The organization relies on donations and fundraising events to continue its important work and the mead tasting fundraiser is a fun and unique way for community members to show their support.
Attendees of the fundraiser will have the opportunity to sample different meads, learn about the art of mead making, and bid on various items in a silent auction. Tickets for the event are $25 each and can be purchased in advance or at the door. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly towards helping families in need in the Yankton area.
In addition to the mead tasting, YCC is also seeking donations of non-perishable food items, clothing, and household goods to distribute to families in need. Donations can be dropped off at the Yankton Community Center during normal business hours.
Yankton Concerned Citizens is grateful for the support of the community and encourages everyone to come out and enjoy an evening of mead tasting while supporting a good cause. For more information about the fundraiser or to purchase tickets, please contact YCC at (605) 555-1234.
